An update on life...Hello, America!
Updated: Mar 14, 2020
We've made it home!
After four years living in Japan, teaching English, exploring, making friends...we're home. It feels really good.
We planned this move a long time back, but never would have guessed what the world would be facing when the time came.

Because we had colds (sniffles, sneezing, etc) we opted for wearing masks on the plane. (We're all better now!) But the flight ended up being quite empty and we had great seats with lots of space (and leg room!) at the front of economy. The eleven hours went by crazy fast!!
Now we're keeping to ourselves for a couple weeks out in rural midwestern America. Just to be sure those in our family who are most at risk remain healthy and safe.
This will pass, but in the meantime, please be wise. Wash your hands. Don't touch your face. Protect the elderly and vulnerable in your life by taking extra care where they are concerned. And please, friends, find ways to smile, laugh, and calm your nerves. Panic only leads to stress, and apparently closets full of toilet paper. ;)
{No judgement here. I felt the panic too for a time.}
Above all, pray.
ALL THE NEW THINGS!!
Because of the move and the insanity that ensued in the weeks and months prior, my writing, blogging, and book release schedule got all out of wack. But what else is self-quarantine for than catching up on all the things!
FIRST:
You may have seen, but Where Rebels Hide got a new cover!

I'm so happy with how it turned out! If you haven't read it, you can grab your copy HERE for only $0.99!
SECOND:
I'll be releasing my first non-fiction ebook, called For Christian Writer Moms: Notes of Encouragement at the Start of Your Journey, on April 1st, 2020! Preorder is available now! Find it HERE!

THIRD:
In sync with the April 1st book release, I'll be launching a blog site with the same purpose: encouraging and supporting Christian Writer Moms! The site will be contributor heavy, offering guest posts from other CWMs from all over who will be sharing their thoughts, experiences, and advice...so we can grow together! Stay tuned!
LASTLY:
I am still writing Songs in the Night!! The story is taking shape, and I fall more in love with the characters with each writing session. Release date to be announced, but in the meantime, have you seen the cover???

That's all for now!
Be well, breathe easy, and I'll talk to you all soon!
Always,
Laura
